Q : Which is the shortest delay for obsequies?
R : A "funerary operation" inhumation or cremation can only be done after 48 hours following the decease.
Q : Which are the necessary forms to register a death ?
R : An identity card or a passport are good enough but the register certificate needs more information in order to establish the statement of death, a family certificate is therefore strictly necessary or instead a birth statement or a wedding statement.
Q : What should I do in case of death of one of my family member ?

R : Legally it's in the cemetery of his residence that the late should be buried. However, some municipalities do accept deceased from outside, on entry fees condition. In same cases, if a straight family member is already buried here, the burial can be done in another cemetery of another township than the residence one.

R : A notification has to be given within the 2 days which follow the death to the municipal of the place of death, thereafter, the law do not impose a maximum delay in order to proceed to a "funerary operation" inhumation or cremation.
Q : Do I have to be present at the time the coffin is closed?
R : Not necessarily, is an important instant of the mourning procedure, but there is no obligation. If you wish, a clergyman, a priest or even a collaborator of our Firm can assist you with their presence at this moment.
