In April 1888, due to the pressing request of Geneva's clergy, a convention was signed creating the society of Funeral Obsequies.

Anselme MURITH
With the collaboration of Michel Fert and François Deparc, both carters, Anselme Murith, at that time sacristan of Saint-Joseph church, led the enterprise which was constituted into a company on April 28th. His sons Paul and Auguste assisted him in 1913. On September 14th, 1898, the heavy duty of organizing the funeral convoy of her Majesty Sissi, Austrian's Imperator was attributed to Anselme.

In 1919, due to the initiative of Paul Murith, the society A. MURITH SA, a specialised enterprise in Funeral Obsequies was created. Under his management and with his brother Auguste Murith, the company was extended to the cantons of Fribourg and Valais.
From 1960 to 1981, Henri Murith, August's son took the lead. He developed the sector of manufacturing funeral products, more adapted to the request.
Today, the Society is directed by Jean Murith, Henri's son. His task was to improve funeral spaces at family's disposal and to develop conservation care (Thanatopraxis). We offer today a function for every confession as well as for civil obsequies.
We are particularly concerned about human, we hope, with this manner to envolve ourelves in the chain of help which from nursing people to administration assists the mourning families.
